Day 4 and 5 of our trek led us to a tea house in the village owned by one of our porters - Hiru.

We spent 2 nights at the guest house which gave us a free day to rest and relax. The views were stunning. Looking out to the valley and seeing the mountains beyond.

Hiru’s family has large gardens that are spread out around the guesthouse. They grow rice, mullet, corn, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes and squash. They also make pickles - that’s what is inside the containers.
