After a few days of excitment in the jungle I was happy to enjoy a few rest days. It was nice to sleep in and enjoy some down time to read books. I also went for a few walks around the village and the boundary of the National Park.

The park rangers use elephants to patrol the park and one morning I was out walking and I saw the park rangers coming past. There are wild elephants in the park but I did not see them during my visit. These domesticated elephants have been trained by the park ranger and they have a special bond with their animals.
